Cronenberg’s ‘A Dangerous Method’ Set for An European May Shoot

Date:

PW reports that A Dangerous Method, the new title replacing the not much better one of “The Talking Cure”, will commence filming next month and be set in German, Austrian and Swiss cities of Berlin, Vienna and Zurich. An adaptation of Christopher Hampton’s play, this follows the founding fathers of psychoanalysis, Carl Jung (Fassbender) and Sigmund Freud (Mortensen), and their complicated relationships with a brilliant and beautiful patient, Sabina Spielrein (Keira Knightley). Cassel who starred alongside Mortensen in Cronenberg’s last film Eastern Promises will also star. Look for this to be high up on our film choices for the 2011 campaign.
