TIFF Preemed ‘Henry’s Crime’ Robbed by Moving Pictures

Date:

We can now add one more new indie distrib label to the count this year (it feels like a dozen) as Moving Pictures Film & TV (yes the film magazine that has so far specialized in crap homevid titles) have made their first, official major title pick-up. A Toronto Int. Film Festival selected title, Malcolm Venville’s Henry’s Crime will receive some kind of four wall release in 2011, especially with the name cast involved.

Gist: The film centers around Henry (Reeves), who finds himself in prison after being falsely accused of robbing a bank. He strikes a close friendship with his cellmate, Max (Caan), only to become his partner in crime upon their release. But when Henry meets Julie (Farmiga), his life begins to take a turn toward a different path.

Worth Noting: This was penned by The Terminal scribe Sacha Gervasi (who was the director for Anvil! The Story of Anvil.)

Do We Care?: We passed on the film at TIFF and despite the cast, won’t bother with seeing it theatrically.
