TIFF: Top 10 New Faces & Voices: #10. Dylan Riley Snyder

Part of the fun of the whole film festival experience is discovering new talents, both in front and behind of the camera. Since I’m an avid fan of the top ten list format, I thought I’d go at this again. Cannes gave us two break-thru perfs in acting from A Prophet’s Tahar Rahim and Fish Tank’s Katie Jarvis (both were mentioned once again in IndieWIRE’s TIFF poll), I featured the both of them in this apres Cannes’ piece.

Snyder manages to hold his own especially in scenes with Allison Janney who deliciously plays the faulty mother role – a part that Cynthia Stevenson played ten years back. A quick IMDB check shows us that this is among the young actors first roles.
