#38. Management

Director/Writer:
Stephen Belber
Producers: Marty Bowen (The Nativity Story) and Wyck Godfrey (I, Robot)
Distributor: MGM

The Gist: Written by Belber, Jennifer Aniston will play a traveling
saleswoman who sells cheap art to small companies and motels. She has a
fling with an aimless, underachieving assistant motel manager (Steve Zahn) at
one of her stops, and he pursues her all over the U.S.

Fact: This is Belber’s directorial debut – he wrote the play and screenplay for Richard Linklater’s Tape.

See It: Zahn is coming off a great perf in Rescue Dawn and Aniston plays the sort of role that might remind us of her acting chops back in The Good Girl.

Release Date/Status?: Romantic comedy is currently in post-prod and pegged for a September 18th release – this should get a world preem at one of the fall film festivals: Venice, TIFF and/or Toronto.
