Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2008: #64 Mr. Nobody

Date:

Mr.Nobody Jaco

#64. Mr. Nobody

Director/writer:
Jaco Van Dormael
Producers: Philippe Godeau (Baise-moi)
Distributor: Currently Seeking Distribution

The Gist: “Mr Nobody” is inspired by the “butterfly effect” — the
chaos theory notion that the beat of a butterfly’s wings can cause a storm
thousands of miles away. Set in a world where only clones have survived, there
is one human left. The story is told in a non-linear, conceptual. Sarah Polley and Jared Leto star.

Fact: It has been more than a decade since Van Dormael has lensed a film (Le Huitième jour).

See It: Van Dormael doesn’t make enough films – meaning it takes his time in between projects. sounds delicious. Stylistically this may be interesting as well. Christopher Doyle is the DOP.

Release Date/Status?: Currently in post – this should be a Cannes film festival selection.
