#23. The Deep Blue Sea

Director/Writer: Terence Davies
Producers: Sean O’Connor
Distributor: Rights Available.

The Gist: Based on Terence Rattigan’s 1952 play, Tom Hiddleston will play Weisz’s reprobate RAF pilot lover and Simon Russell Beale her stolid husband.….(more)

Cast: Rachel Weisz, Tom Hiddleston and Simon Russell Beale

List Worthy Reasons…: The good news is we won’t have an insufferable wait of almost a decade between works such as was the case with The House of Mirth (2000) and Of Time and the City (2008). The other good news is that Rachel Weisz finds herself in the lead and will likely garner award mentions with this role.

Release Date/Status?: If this is not ready for Cannes, then Venice.
