I hope that you readers get a chance to see the film - it stands apart from most comedies I know - I would even group it apart from its Scandi-neighbors comedic sensibilities. Those with a twisted sense of humor will love Anderson's deadpan style - the first 30 minutes is killer: especially a sequence where a man stand trials for committing the most absurd crime in a courtroom full of delusional spectators.
You, the Living is a film about humankind, its greatness and its baseness, joy and sorrow, its self-confidence and anxiety, its desire to love and be loved.
