2025 Cannes Film Festival Winners – Directors’ Fortnight [Video]

We missed out on the award ceremony at the Critics’ Week, but managed to be part of the festivities for the Directors’ Fortnight and it was the overwhelming popular The President’s Cake by Hasan Hadi that claimed the top acknowledgement in the Audience Award – which is now in it’s second year – an initiative by Artistic Director Julien Rejl.

And in a double victory, Valéry Carnoy‘s Wild Foxes not only won the SACD Prize for Best French Film but also claimed the Europa Cinemas Label Award for Best European Film. The SRF and Alpine presented the Prix Alpine to French filmmaker Thomas Cailley with its very first award. Here is video below.
