2022 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: Jakob Rørvik’s Superposition

Date:

We thought this might be ready for last year, but the project was still in post production and aiming for a 2022 drop. From Norway, filmmaker Jakob Rørvik has been in the short film space for a decade plus now and he workshopped the feature as early as 2018 when he attended the Sundance Screenwriters Lab. Superposition features Arthur Berning, Filip Mathias Eide, Silje Storstein.

Gist: Quantum physicist Thomas believes he is about to crack the code of the universe, but he can’t seem to untangle the mysteries of his own life, even as the people he loves most—his young son, ex-wife, and mother—all try to bring him back to earth.

Production Co./Producers: Petter Onstad Løkke, Synnøve Hørsdal.

Prediction: WORLD CINEMA DRAMATIC COMPETITION

U.S. Distributor: Rights Available. TrustNordisk (domestic, international).
