Atomic Age and Spirit of Ecstasy‘s Héléna Klotz is getting ready to launch production on her third feature film. Cineuropa reports that French filmmaker is moving into production next month on Celles qui parlaient tout le temps (aka The Girls Who Wouldn’t Stop Talking) and the youth-orientated Gina Jimenez will be leading the cast comprised of Taïs Madalena, Salomé Boulven, Ruben Correa and Cédric Appietto. Klotz wrote the project with Nicolas Laquerrière and Mehdi Ouahab with Jacques Audiard aiding the screenplay as well. Colin Lévêque is the cinematographer here. Les Films du Bélier’s Justin Taurand is producing. The timeline sets this as a Cannes submission. Production will run from August into September in Paris. Here is the synopsis:
This centres on 17-year-old Marie and 11-year-old Aïcha. Their world is turned upside down when the two sisters are brutally evicted from their flat in Aubervilliers and left on the streets. By day, they conceal their hardships to get through the end of the school year as normally as possible; by night, they turn into adventurers to survive in the hostile suburban environment. Marie will do everything she can to hide their distress from those around them, even to the extent of putting them in danger…
