2012 Sundance Predictions: Coley Sohn’s Sassy Pants

Date:

#53. Sassy Pants – Coley Sohn

We could have a festival loaded with these kinds of examples…here is one more case of a Sundance accepted short Boutonniere (2009) that got turned into a feature length film. Entitled Sassy Pants, with a backdrop of the prom and the pain associated with it, if programmed Coley Sohn’s coming-of-ager comedy will most certainly grab a Premieres category slot and be a prime candidate for Queer Lounge Award and in the same token would be a platform for actress Ashley Rickards to shine.

Gist: The short’s synopsis is…a simple teenage girl attempts to survive her overbearing mother’s exuberant plans for a prom she’d rather not attend.

Producers: Pavlina Hatoupis and Adam Wilkins
