BuzzWith so many great docu offerings at TIFF this year, this film which hits San Sebastian next, might actually go unnoticed, but the hardcore Kawase fans know the special touch this filmmaker has in the feature narratives, docu and short form.

The Gist: A serene observation of women giving birth at the clinic of Dr. Tadashi Yoshimura who has spent 40 years on the path of natural childbirth, Genpin is Naomi Kawase’s special meditation on life and on the unshakable bond between mother and child
