The Gist: Written by Dieckmann, this focuses on a day-in-the-life of a harried mother (Uma Thurman) of two prepping for her daughter’s sixth birthday party as myriad urban challenges confront her.

Dieckmann directed videos for R.E.M.

Why is it on the list?: Fun screenplay with a Uma Thurman custom fit for this role. 

Release Date/Status?: Preeming at the Sundance Film Festival, the film will be picked up for an eventual 09 release.
