#54. You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger

Director/Writer: Woody Allen
Producers: Letty Aronson, Jaume Roures and Stephen Tenenbaum.
Distributor: Rights Available.

The Gist: This revolves around different members of a family, their tangled love lives and their attempts to try to solve their problems…..(more)

Cast: Naomi Watts, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Brolin, Antonio Banderas, Anna Friel, Freida Pinto, Ewen Bremner, Lucy Punch, Gemma Jones and Carla Bruni.

Why is it on the list?: Regardless if Woody in the past couple of decades was a hit (Sweet and Lowdown, Vicky Cristina Barcelona) & miss (Celebrity , Whatever Works), in my books his constant musings on the human relationships are more often than not, a treat. Ensemble cast headed by Naomi Watts should provide for a full, five-course meal.

Release Date/Status?:  With Bruni in the lineup expect a big, fat red carpet premiere in Cannes followed by MediaPro finding a major buyer from the U.S to grab the film and do a rollout strategy not unlike Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
