Cannes Video Day 5: Sean Durkin’s (Martha Marcy May Marlene)

Date:

Sean Durkin’s Martha Marcy May Marlene was the first of the two back-to-back Fox Searchlight titles showing at the festival this year — the other one, needs no mention. For the Borderline Films guys, this is a familiar spot for them as back in 2008 they premiered Antonio Campos’ Afterschool in the Un Certain Regard section back in 2008, which means by all logic both Campos and Durkin would put on the producer’s hat and have Josh Mond make his directorial debut ready for….2014. Here’s footage from last night’s premiere screening with actor Brady Corbet (also in Cannes for Melancholia), actresses Elizabeth Olsen and Louisa Krause (also in Cannes for Return) and the Borderline trio of Campos, Mond and Durkin.
