More ‘Dark Horse’ Picks in Walken, Farrow and Solondz Returnee Selma Blair

Date:

Proving once again that he draws strength in numbers, Todd Solondz’s ensemble cast will include Christopher Walken, Mia Farrow (can you imagine these two in a Solondz world?!) and returnee Selma Blair who perhaps took on her most uncomfortable role in her career by appearing in Solondz’ 2001 film, Storytelling. Dark Horse began filming this week in New York’s Westchester County and Long Island also has the first concrete details on the direction of the project: the edgy character drama centers on a thirtysomething man (Jordan Gelber) in arrested development who lives with his parents (Walken and Farrow), reluctantly works for his father and avidly collects toys. He seeks out a thirtysomething woman (Blair) in arrested development in an attempt to shed the “dark horse” status in his family and finally accomplish something.

Also in the cast we have Justin Bartha as Gelber’s more successful brother, Zachary Booth as Gelber’s easygoing cousin and Donna Murphy as Walken’s secretary. Here’s some retro Solondz/Blair.
