2009’s Top 10 Repeat Offenders in Wes Anderson with Jason Schwartzman and Owen Wilson

#5. FANTASTIC MR.FOX

When it comes to voice casting for animated features you either cast by name, cast by voice characteristics or then you have something like Jason Schwartzman’s take on an insecure son who is seeking the approbation of his father. Perhaps its the air of familiarity of Wes Anderson employing someone from his fold which works wonders (this is Schwartzman’s fourth film with Anderson not including Hotel Chevalier) but with comedy its all about timing – and the filmmaker and actor don’t often miss their marks. Ditto goes for Owen Wilson and his Cal Ripken-esque status in Anderson’s filmography.
