1st Look: Poster One Sheet Sex and Death 101

Date:

We’ve got the first look at the poster one sheet for a film coming out this April that is a reunion of sorts between an actress and screenwriter-turned director. Her breakout role was in Burton’s Beetlejuice but what catapulted her to instant stardom was the cult-like success for a film called Heathers. Michael Lehmann‘s directorial debut was based on a script by Daniel Waters – fast-forward two decades later and Winona Ryder stars in Water’s sophomore filmmaking effort.

The picture surfaced on a couple of film markets but only grabbed the interest of Anchor Bay (know mostly for their DVD product than theatrical releases). Sex and Death 101 is a dark comedy that concerns a man whose life is upended by an email containing the names of every woman he’s had sex with and every woman he ever will have sex with. For Ryder, this is part of a collection of non-conventional indie film roles that demonstrates a willingness to take on riskier fair during the second portion of her career.
