Production Poster One Sheet: Stacy Peralta’s Made in America

Date:

The man once known for kick flips and sucking brown water from swimming pools for more alluring sk8ing terrain has now evolved into an established docu-filmmaker with examples such as Dogtown and Z-Boys and Riding Giants. With next week's Sundance 08 edition, Stacy Peralta makes a 180 degree turn veering into the hardly spoken about subject matter that is destroying many lives.

Narrated by Forest Whitaker, Made in America looks at the Crips and Bloods, the doc examines the conditions that have lead to decades of devastating gang violence among young African Americans growing up in South Los Angeles. We'll be featuring more on Stacy during Sundance in the mean time here is the production poster.
