The Five Venoms is considered one of the high points in the history of martial arts cinema and it’s easy to see why. Pitting the Centipede, Toad, Snake, Scorpion and Lizard styles of kung fu against one another, the choreography is in magnificent form and the plot suitably complex.
There’s a lot to ingest, and it’s easy to just sit back and get lost in the maze of intrigue and thrilling fight sequences. This Venom is it’s own antidote.
