TIFF 2010: Abe Sylvia’s Dirty Girl

Part of the films being offered at TIFF that could easily secure a spot at Sundance, Abe Sylvia's directorial debut, a film that borrows heavily from narrative elements found in Little Miss Sunshine. Dirty Girl hit a cord with the first audience to see it and Weinsteins paid a whopping 3 million for the title.

TIFF 2010: Oliver Schmitz’s Life, Above All

The following vid dates back to last Sunday, it was the first public screening to Oliver Schmitz's Life, Above All, a film that played well at Cannes, was subsequently picked up Sony Pictures Classics, was just named as South Africa's Best Foreign film entry, and judging from the reaction from the crowd on this particular night, will play extremely well for a certain type of demo. If given the chance, this should test extremely well with the targeted teen audience and those who accidently migrate to the film will find a highly likeable treatment.
