Eric Lavallée is the founder, CEO, editor-in-chief, film journalist, and critic at IONCINEMA.com, established in 2000. A regular at Sundance, Cannes, and Venice, Eric holds a BFA in film studies from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. In 2013, he served on the narrative competition jury at the SXSW Film Festival. He was an associate producer on Mark Jackson’s "This Teacher" (2018 LA Film Festival, 2018 BFI London). He is a Golden Globes Voter, member of the ICS (International Cinephile Society) and AQCC (Association québécoise des critiques de cinéma).

Smith commences in ‘Ruins’

Folks remember this name: Carter Smith. Now try and find a way to see his short film that premed at last year’s Cannes and Sundance. It’s called Bug Crush. The video-hemler & famed photography will now direct his first feature length film. Production Weekly reports that he is on board to helm The Ruins.

Goldwyn proposes ‘2 Days in Paris’

Splitting the bill at Berlin, Samuel Goldwyn Films and Netflix's Red Envelope Entertainment have boarded Julie Delpy's romantic comedy and feature-length film debut. 2 Days in Paris (Deux jours à Paris) will roll out sometime this summer.
