Eric Lavallée is the founder, CEO, editor-in-chief, film journalist, and critic at IONCINEMA.com, established in 2000. A regular at Sundance, Cannes, and Venice, Eric holds a BFA in film studies from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. In 2013, he served on the narrative competition jury at the SXSW Film Festival. He was an associate producer on Mark Jackson’s "This Teacher" (2018 LA Film Festival, 2018 BFI London). He is a Golden Globes Voter, member of the ICS (International Cinephile Society), FIPRESCI and AQCC (Association québécoise des critiques de cinéma).

Sir Galahad Rides Again in ‘Mortal Armor’

Laurence Dunmore is going back in time, again. The director of The Libertine, has been tapped to helm a retelling of Sir Gallahad's quest for the Holy Grail titled Mortal Armor: The Legend of Galahad. The director's sophmore project is set to be a "coming of age" tale of the legendary knight and his journey to unlock the secrets of the the Christian lore. The project is penned by Joel Gross and overseen by producer Gale Ann Hurd. Production is set to begin next summer in the U.K.

Harlin Set to Mop Up with ‘The Cleaner’

OCD sufferers take heart.Samuel L. Jackson is coming to the rescue. The defeator of slinky serpents at 20,000 feet is set to clean up again in the upcoming flick for director Renny Harlin titled The Cleaner. Not to be confused with the Cedric the Entertainer comedy pic Codename: The Cleaner, Jackson's project is a thriller involving murder, corruption, and the anguish of obsessive compulsive disorder.
