2021 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: Nadine Crocker’s Continue

Date:

A project that comes from a deep, personal place, for her directorial debut, actress Nadine Crocker turned the lens inwards for Continue and surrounded herself with the likes of Emily Deschanel, Shiloh Fernandez, Analeigh Tipton, Kat Foster, Annapurna Sriram and Dale Dickey. Production began in November of 2019 with the backing of Cassian Elwes and so if Sundance programmers are looking for a subject-related drama with punch, they might consider this could easily fall in a SXSW slot.

Gist: It follows a girl (Crocker) suffering from depression who is forced to get her life together when she is taken involuntarily to a mental institution, after trying to follow in her father’s footsteps, but failing her suicide attempt. She finds unlikely friends, unwavering love, & a life she never imagined possible for a girl like her. All to find out some decisions can’t be undone. And not every story is a happy one.

Production Co./Producers: Cassian Elwes, Jay Seals, Anthony Caravella, Nadine Crocker.
