2019 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: #13. Bridget Savage Cole & Danielle Krudy – Blow the Man Down

After busting their chops collectively in different sectors, shapes and lengths within the biz, Bridget Savage Cole & Danielle Krudy combined their efforts for what would be one of the first gigs for newly minted prod house Secret Engine. A project that was selected for Film Independent’s 2017 Fast Track film finance market, production on Blow the Man Down took place in Maine last February, noteworthy players include Annette O’Toole, Margo Martindale, June Squibb, Morgan Saylor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Gayle Rankin and Sophie Lowe.

Gist: An accidental murder. An established madam who does her dirtiest business while the town willingly looks the other way. Fifty grand of cash up for grabs and the local men out to sea … enter two sisters with nothing and everything to lose.

Production Co./Producers: Secret Engine’s Drew P. Houpt (Beach Rats) and Alex Scharfman (Women Who Kill).

Prediction: Longshot for the U.S. Dramatic Comp. SXSW Comp also an option.
