2019 Sundance Film Festival Predictions: #97. & #98. Richard Linklater – Where’d You Go, Bernadette & Untitled Moon Landing Project

Published on

In an almost film per eighteen months pace, Richard Linklater might have not one, but two features released in 2019….and perhaps the filmmaker will attempt a two birds and one stone Sundance strategy. Where’d You Go, Bernadette (with Cate Blanchett, Kristen Wiig, Billy Crudup, Judy Greer) gets released via Annapurna Pictures on March 22nd (it was pushed several times due to perhaps the schedule conflict and could figure into SXSW’s plans) while the Untitled 1969 Moon Landing Film is suppose to be a 50th anniversary type of release.

Gist: Based on the novel by Maria Semple, this focuses on Bernadette, she hates people, she hates leaving the house, and more than anything, she hates the other parents at her daughter’s school. But when Bee’s mother disappears, it’s her mission to find out where she is and what really happened to her. // Via a child’s point of view, with a soundtrack of “regional hits” from the time this centers around man walking on the moon.
