The Gist: Based on true events, script by Simon Beaufoy this concerns an illiterate street kid from Mumbai who wins the jackpot on the Indian version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”

Fact: Boyle shot on location and in several parts of India. 

See It: It smacked the ball out of the park for a grand slam homer at Telluride. Critics are calling it this year’s feel good film. 

Release Date/Status?: Fox Searchlight snapped this up in a deal with Warner Bros. and will release the picture on November 28th.
