The Gist: Based on Cormac McCarthy’s novel and adapted by Joe Penhall, this is set after a nuclear explosion, is the post-apocalyptic nightmarish road trip of a man who tries to transport his son to safety while fending off starving stragglers and marauding packs of cannibals.

Fact: Novel was recently picked as Orpah’s book of the month.
