A Shot of ‘Rum’ for Amber Heard

Date:

Finally after being tied up Pirates of the Caribbean commitments, the long-gestating project that Johnny Depp has wanted to do for ages is actually underway. Tim Burton please refrain from calling for a little while.

Producer’s behind the film-to-screen realization of Hunter S. Thompson’ The Rum Diary are going with an appealing choice for their bikini clad female co-lead. Thanks to similar roles that saw the actress in matching attire or in intoxicated states, I guess the choice to go with an Amber Heard is a sound choice considering that this is a small production already benefiting from an A-lister in Depp.

With filming set to begin March 30th in Puerto Rico, Heard is in negotiations to play one third of a love triangle – aka, Chenault. Except the casting of “Sanderson” to be unveiled sometime soon. Bruce Robinson directs.
