Film in Pictures: Elgin James’ Little Birds

Date:

We finally have our first glimpse at Elgin James’ Little Birds – a highly anticipated film that’ll be in the Dramatic Comp at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival. James’ directorial debut will be also be a chance to catch up with not one, but two members in our American New Wave 25 series and who both work behind the camera — see profiles on James (here) and Reed Morano (read here). In the still we find actresses Juno Temple and Kay Panabaker in a sequence that if I had to guess takes place before they go rogue and turn into the younger Thelma & Louise pairing.
