Sony Pictures Classics adds Guitar Heroes to slate

Date:

I didn’t care much the last time Davis Guggenheim worked the docu format into a “controlled setting” (as seen in Al Gore’s Powerpoint presentation An Inconvenient Truth), but in It Might Get Loud, the best thing about an enclosed space is that it allows a trio of guitar legends to jam without having to worry about plugging in amps. Sony Pictures Classics have announced that they have picked up the TIFF premiered documentary that should tickle the fancy of anyone who has rocked out to the tunes of Led Zep, U2 and the White Stripes. SPC acquired the North America, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa rights to the picture.

Bringing together, for the first time, three legendary musicians, The Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White, this documentary celebrates the electric guitar by examining the creative process of these virtuosos through their own words and music.
