Thirlby Takes on ‘Bullsh*t’

Date:

After adding Julianne Moore to the cast last week, its now the best looking urban girl next door cutie Olivia Thirlby who will join the Focus Features adaptation of Another Bullshit Night in Suck City: A Memoir. Currently being called Another Night, Thirlby whose most recent working slate includes The Darkest Hour, Dredd and is in pre-prod with David Michaels’ M, will join fellow New Yorkers Robert De Niro and Paul Dano on the Paul Weitz directed film. Thirlby’s supporting role is that of Denise, the love interest who helps get him (Dano) the job at the shelter.

Gist: Based on the novel by Nick Flynn, this is about an uncoventional relationship between a father and son. This follows the story of a poet (Dano) in his 20s, working at one of the city’s homeless shelters, where his path crisscrosses with his down-and-out, wayward ex-con of a father.

Worth Noting: Weitz’s prod co. Depth of Field produced A Single Man.

Do We Care?: We like the ensemble so far — and expect this to be among our most anticipated films for 2012.
