Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2008: #3 The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Date:

#3. The Curious Case of Benjamin
Button

Director:
David Fincher
Writers: Eric Roth (Munich)

Producers: Ceán Chaffin, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall
Distributor: Paramount Pictures

The Gist: Based on a fabled short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald called
“The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,”, this chronicles an old man who
physically ages backward. At age 50, he falls in love with a 30-year-old woman
and then must come to terms with the relationship as they literally grow in
opposite directions.

Fact: This one cost a ton to make: 150
million dollars, partly due to the CGI effects used to reverse the aging in Brad
Pitt’s character.

See It: All fans of David Fincher owe it to him to see and support this film after what happened with the complete disregard for one of the better films of the year in Zodiac.

Release Date/Status?: November 26th. Big fat X on my calender.
