Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2011: Pawel Pawlikowski’s The Woman in the Fifth

We were faced with a drought from this filmmaker so our anticipation levels are at a higher level than norm as he only has a pair of completed films to show for in the past decade: the gritty sophomore film Last Resort and his moody and lush 2004 film, My Summer of Love – which also happens to be a book adaptation such as this project. I’m hoping that the paired actors in Ethan Hawke and Kristin Scott Thomas can belt out some fine performances, if so we might find this on the Croisette.

Release Date/Status?: Cannes seems like a good bet. Release in the U.K and France for sure, domestic pick-up certain but it depends on who is hosting the film on this side of the Atlantic.
