With Robert De Niro and Paul Dano already on board, The Tracking Board is suggesting that Julianne Moore is in talks to join the cast of Another Night, based on Nick Flynn’s novel “Another Bullshit Night in Suck City.” Paul Weitz (American Pie, About A Boy, In Good Company) will direct the film from his own adapted screenplay and serve as producer through his and brother Chris’ (New Moon) Depth of Field Productions banner.

In a relatively quiet weekend for specialty debuts, its holdovers like “The King’s Speech” and “Black Swan” making all the news. Both passed the $100 million mark, but it’s “Speech” that overtook “Swan” on its way to $6.5 million in its 13th weekend. Amidst an overall decline at the box office, Tom Hooper’s drama experienced only a 9.9% decline despite withdrawing from 177 locations.

The idea comes from the script writer, Paul Laverty, who first wrote an entire period piece film. Then he decided to bring it to the present somehow, and update it, and he read about and researched this real struggle in Cochabamba in year 2000. To link such two distant events, he got the idea of a film crew, doing this period film in Cochabamba while the riots begun.
