Chris Cooper and Robin Wright Penn in Love with ‘New York’

After the sightings of Natalie Portman and Kevin Bacon (see pics) for Mira Nair’s short portion called “Kosher Vegetarian” and the sad passing of Anthony Minghella who was among the directors to eventually participate in the film project, the latest news for New York, I Love
You
has actors Chris Cooper and Robin Wright Penn on board Yvan Attal’s piece.

The French actor-turned-director (My Wife Is an Actress & …And They
Lived Happily Ever After
) is filming a bit that also includes Ethan Hawke and Maggie Q.

A reader describes the very well lit scene (a night shoot that took place on 11th and 4th street) that takes place in front of a coffee shop – businessman-looking Cooper is outside smoking a cigarette talking on his cell phone, and at the corner is a hot looking, Robin Wright in a mini skirt and 3/4 fitted leather jacket garb. The scene is further described as a long take that “shows them going from strangers, to signs of affection. I could speculate that she’s a hooker in this, but not sure. She backs up playfully from his advance. CUT!”

NY I Love You is of course a sequel of sorts, and made by some of the same producers who worked on the Paris, je t’aime project. Here each director will create a five-minute segment about a
love encounter in a district of the five boroughs for a 100-minute long final
cut.
