2017 Sundance NEXT FEST: Ava DuVernay, M83 & Kate Micucci Join Justin Chon, Janicza Bravo & Alex Ross Perry

After having identified their film slate (mostly NEXT section items from this past Sundance), the NEXT FEST programmers have unveiled the complete line-up of participants and we’ve got a true carbonated smorgasboard of multidisciplinary folks that have been paired with American indie helmers such as Justin Chon, Janicza Bravo and Alex Ross Perry.

The weekend event (August 10th to the 13th) will include legends such as Tarantino and Bogdanovich, and music act folks such as Lizzo, Electric Guest and Sleigh Bells. Here is the complete line-up:

Eric Lavallée

Eric Lavallée is the founder, CEO, editor-in-chief, film journalist and critic at IONCINEMA.com (founded in 2000). Eric is a regular at Sundance, Cannes and TIFF. He has a BFA in Film Studies at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. In 2013 he served as a Narrative Competition Jury Member at the SXSW Film Festival. He was an associate producer on Mark Jackson's This Teacher (2018 LA Film Festival, 2018 BFI London). In 2022 he served as a New Flesh Comp for Best First Feature at the 2022 Fantasia Intl.
