I’m sure when Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way were considering hiring Rand Ravich to pen their feature film adaptation of The Twilight Zone that they didn’t pull out his earlier credit of Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh to see where he was coming from. Ravich’s signature style cooky tone and familiarity with an episodic structure with television’s “Life” might be a sign that the feature film version might be set up not necessarily like the four segment storyline structure such as the 1983 film version (Twilight Zone: The Movie), but rather, as a project that might be open to sequels. Last time we checked, no one was impressed with the last X-Files film.
Variety doesn’t mention any news details on what paranormal sphere Warner Bros. will visit, but they are looking for fresh material and won’t both with the 156 episodes that were shown in the late 50’s/60’s.
