Cannes 2009’s Top 5 Items For Sale: Bright Star

Date:

Written by Jane Campion, this is based on the three-year romance between 19th century poet John Keats and Fanny Brawne (Abbie Cornish), which was cut short by Keats’ untimely death at age 25.

Bob Berney who is starting a new distribution label to be announced in Cannes has been rumored to have already pulled Bright Star off the shelf, if this isn’t the case I don’t expect a bidding war for the romantic period film, but a clutter of interested distribution heads ranging from SPC to Focus.
