Hex marks the spot for Brolin

Date:

Hollywood-Elsewhere has learned that Warner Bros may have lassoed Josh Brolin for the lead role in the genre-twisting comic book, big screen adaptation of Jonah Hex. It’s a logical casting choice if we namely had to base our decision on what he pulled off in terms of look cowboy lingo on NCFOM. Unless you consider Goonies 2 a real possibility in the pipeline, Brolin has an open schedule and only a pair of promotional events for the upcoming releases of W. and Milk.

With co-directing team of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor on board, this is about 1970s in the issues of “All-Star Western” before graduating to his own series in 1977 that ran for about 10 years. A new series was launched in 2005. The character also had a run in the 1990s that combined the Western genre with supernatural elements. Hex, known for having the right side of his face disfigured and wearing a Confederate army uniform, was a rough-and-tumble gunslinger and part-time bounty hunter whose adventures always ended in blood.
