Scott Rudin and Miramax Films have been a regular in the trade news as of late. After the Oscars and all the accolades for No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood, the combination of Rudin and Miramax have been harvesting spec scripts and properties left and right. Variety announces that the studio and producer have aligned themselves with producers Alexandra Milchan and Aimee Peyronnet for Ann Cherkis‘s spec script.

photographs taken of them become the centerpiece of a MOMA exhibition,
giving them newfound celebrity.

So far, Cherkis’ only credit was a film called The Secretthe project was an adaptation of a Japanese novel by Keigo Higashino that was turned into a film, “Himitsu” in
1999. Actor-turned-part time director Vincent Perez shot the picture in Montreal, and it told the tale about a man whose life changes suddenly after the bus
