The Gist: This is based on Richard Matheson short story “Button, Button”. Norma and arthur Lewis are faced with a terrible dilemma when a mysterious glass box turns up at their door. If they press the button inside the box, they’ll get enough money to save their ailing son, but in exchange, someone, somewhere in the world will die.
Fact: The short story was the basis of a well-remembered Twilight Zone episode from the 1980s.
See It: We’ve forgiven him for being ambitious and seeing his Southland Tales until the end. Time to turn the page because we “heart” Donnie Darko and the premise for this film.
Release Date/Status?: Warner Bros. Pictures will release the picture this year. Unclear whether this will be an autumn or holiday film release?
