Two-time Oscar nominated Willem Dafoe may be setting himself up for another Best Suppoting Actor role. Dafoe’s reps have just announced he will be starring opposite Jeff Goldblum in screenwriter-turned-director Paul Schrader’s new film Adam Resurrected.

Based on the dramatic novel by Yoram Kaniuk, Adam Resurrected is the story of a former circus entertainer spared from the gas chamber so he might entertain thousands of other Jews as they marched to their deaths. After the war, he becomes the leader at an asylum populated by Holocaust survivors.

Currently wrapping up the Abel Ferrara film, Go Go Tales, Dafoe and crew begin shooting Adam Resurrected this April in Germany, Romania and Israel.
