The Weinstein Boys ‘Love Mandy Lane’

Date:

Despite the slow start to this year’s Toronto International Film Festival, the Weinstein company has begun shelling out money – picking up the pace and the competition. Almost immediately after its midnight screening, the Weinstein’s signed for Jonathan Levine’s All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. According to insiders the picture was sold for between $3 million and $4 million and will be released on the firm’s Dimension Films.

The direcorial debut of AFI graduate Jonathan Levine, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane stars Amber Heard, Anson Mount, and Michael Welch as a group of teens living in a world where sexual innuendo and promiscuity rule their social order. A horror film that goes against the “mallrat stereotype” and instead exposes the real life fears of today’s teens, All the Boys Love Mandy Lane is a smart and unique take on the generally predictable genre.

In the title role of Mandy Lane is Amber Heard, a model/actress from Austin, Texas. Heard has three other projects in production including Henry Pincus’ You Are Here.
