Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2010: Jonathan Levine’s I’m with Cancer

Factoring in: an upcoming and coming filmmaker in Jonathan Levine, plus three distinct leads (McAvoy, Kendrick, Rogen) and a script that cracked the top ten in last year's Black List (24 votes) has the makings for a fine film. What I like best is the different approach to the notion of a film with the C-word in it. Should be an instant crowd-pleaser.

Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2010: Aaron Katz’s Cold Weather

For those who haven't embrace the Mumblecore movement yet, you might want to reconsider with Katz' latest. The recent release of the gorgeous trailer is what got this film on my list - I can't help it's what You Can Count on Me might look like today, with a little Van Sant thrown in for good measure.

Swooning to a New Toon: Likely Story’s Bregman Grabs Stake in Top Shelf

It's pretty obvious that Hollywood has a huge interest in the super heros that spill out of the pages of your typical comic book, and while I'm aware that there is an alternative graphic novel industry that serves a huge following, beyond the small sampling of American Splendor, Ghost World and Art School Confidential, I'm clueless as to why Indiewood would be interested in the graphic novel/comic book form.

Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2010: Nikita Mikhalkov’s The Exodus – The Fortress: Burnt By The Sun 2

The first film won the Grand Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 94, and while I yet to see it, I'm wondering how Mikhalkov will bring his beloved characters into a post-war premise and if he'll make some kind of social commentary about current day politics. What we do know is that this will be an epic in scope.

Top 100 Most Anticipated Films of 2010: Neil Marshall’s Centurion

A specialist in the genre fare, we can expect Marshall to once again deliver on the action front - plus this has Fassbender, an actor worth keeping close tabs on.
