Strand Releasing has nabbed distribution rights to Julian Goldberger’s The Hawk Is Dying, an emotional and enigmatic darling of both Sundance and Cannes, garnering for Goldberger a selection for the Directors’ Fortnight sidebar at Cannes. Lionsgate Entertainment, the leader in independent film distribution announced on Wednesday that they have penned a deal with newcomer Sarah Polley for her feature-length directorial debut Away From Her which preemed on Monday night.
