Eric Lavallée is the founder, CEO, editor-in-chief, film journalist, and critic at IONCINEMA.com, established in 2000. A regular at Sundance, Cannes, and Venice, Eric holds a BFA in film studies from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. In 2013, he served on the narrative competition jury at the SXSW Film Festival. He was an associate producer on Mark Jackson’s "This Teacher" (2018 LA Film Festival, 2018 BFI London). He is a Golden Globes Voter, member of the ICS (International Cinephile Society), FIPRESCI and AQCC (Association québécoise des critiques de cinéma).

The deal was signed for just below $3 million, a surprisingly low figure, but could do wonders for Vaughn's career (the Weinstein's made him famous ten years ago with Swingers).

The Weinstein Boys ‘Love Mandy Lane’

Despite the slow start to this year's Toronto International Film Festival, the Weinstein company has begun shelling out money - picking up the pace and the competition. Almost immediately after its midnight screening, the Weinstein's signed for Jonathan Levine's All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. According to insiders the picture was sold for between $3 million and $4 million and will be released on the firm's Dimension Films
