Patrick Wilson, star of the upcoming films Little Children and Running with Scissors, is now attached to the next project from Focus Features - Evening, the bigscreen adaptation of Susan Minot's bestselling novel.
A ‘Wild’ Comedy for 2007
Another big buy for the Weinstein's - the company bought all the rights to the highly contested Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show. The deal was signed for just below $3 million, a surprisingly low figure, but could do wonders for Vaughn's career (the Weinstein's made him famous ten years ago with Swingers).
The Weinstein Boys ‘Love Mandy Lane’
Despite the slow start to this year's Toronto International Film Festival, the Weinstein company has begun shelling out money - picking up the pace and the competition. Almost immediately after its midnight screening, the Weinstein's signed for Jonathan Levine's All the Boys Love Mandy Lane. According to insiders the picture was sold for between $3 million and $4 million and will be released on the firm's Dimension Films
