Bill Plympton is a crazy genius, and that statement has never ringed more true than after watching his latest full-length magnum opus Hair High (only just recently released here, I believe). You either love him or you’re annoyed by him, and both for the same reasons; his animation style is slow paced, absurd, twisted and gross.

After a less than stellar The Brothers Grimm, Terry Gilliam has announced that his next project will be a film based on Anything For Billy, a novel loosely chronicling the young gun-slinging Billy the Kid by Larry McMurty, co-writer of Brokeback Mountain.

I'm a sucker for biopics, retro design and pin-up girls. The combination of all three results in immediate popping of my cerebellum. At first glance this trailer doesn't seem to offer much in terms of storyline (even if we all know the story) but I realized of course that that's for the best.

As you may or may not recall, Ethan Hawke’s first novel(-la? Takes like one trip to the bathroom to read that thing) was in talks to become a silver screen adaptation since late 2003.
