Interview: Marnie Ellen Hertzler – Crestone | 2018 US in Progress – American Film Festival in Wrocław

Date:

Currently making the rounds with her Locarno/Rotterdam selected short Hi I Need To Be Loved, Baltimorean video artist/filmmaker Marnie Ellen Hertzler will likely be unpacking her feature debut sometime this year. Diverging from the traditional narrative storytelling, Hertzler truly imbeds herself in her feature debut Crestone, at once, a tale of day-to-day survivalism of a wolfpack and, an unflinching docu on ingenuity, creativity and how art fills the soul and belly. Crestone was among the quartet of projects featured at the 2018 US in Progress – American Film Festival in Wrocław. Here is my sit-down with Marnie Ellen Hertzler.
