City Lights finds ‘Everything’s Cool’

Date:

Variety had a little blurb at the beginning of the week – City Lights Pictures Releasing have gone the WIP and Paramount Vantage route by picking up their own “green” doc for distribution. The elongated title of Everything's Cool: A Toxic Comedy About Global Warming shall get a November 9th theatrical release and a quick DVD bow less than a month later.

The doc is about the struggles of some self-appointed global warming activists to find the right ways to move from advocacy to public action on behalf of alternative energy.

Under the new banner City Lights/Green Owl banner, consummating the distrib's merger with Green Owl Records/Prods., an eco-friendly record company. The film will be released in association with Red Envelope, the production arm of online DVD rental outfit Netflix.
